For those who may not take note, we receive requests from production companies and casting agents every other week. These companies, for the most part, are looking for people that are comfortable being naked on screen, to participate in their own reality shows. But what caused this upsurge of curiosity about nude people on TV to begin with?
Most folks know that TV networks are always searching for new ideas for shows that'll bring in good money. This is no huge secret. But what they care about more isn't losing money or sponsors. Appeasing the sponsors is the top priority as they have been the driving force behind http://nudism-life.com . Without their cash there would be no TV show.
So how did we get from no nudity to lots of http://crazypublic.com on TV? For the most part and as a general rule, nudity doesn't sell, it's the sexual element that does. But shows like Naked and Afraid or Dating Naked don't really have the sexual element all they've is naked people doing different things, and many of the things they do are by no means appealing or sexual.
The reasons why TV networks are so overly concerned about straightforward nudity is they usually do not need to lose patrons. Sponsors are searching for exposure (pardon the pun). They can be also concerned about where and when their ads appear as they do not need to piss off their clientele.
What exactly was the reason that everything changed with regards to nudity on TV? The simple reply is - the viewers!
Naked and Afraid, Discovery Channel
The big game changer for non sexualized nudity on TV was the show Naked and Afraid. The sheer volume of audience was so enormous the sponsors came beating down the Discovery Channel's doors. Despite the nudity, they wanted to showcase their products to this huge new audience. The ratings were so high that no one cared about the nudity anymore - the results speak for themselves.
Without Naked and Afraid, none of the others TV shows like Dating Naked or Buying Naked (real estate show on TLC), would have ever been made. The fascinating facet of all this is the fact that the general public tunes in initially for the nudity, but keeps seeing for the content.

To be totally honest, we turned down VH1 when they first reached out to us months ago. They were quite surprised at how uninterested we were and naturally they wanted to understand why. I drafted a rather long e-mail that explained the core issues we have with sensationalizing nudity. I gave them all the reasons for my concern and described every problem as best I could. I also expressed hope that they might focus on the content rather than on the nakedness.
Now Relationship Naked is a hit. In my own opinion, the producers at VH1's Dating Naked did a terrific job. They created a show which was way better than we had ever thought possible (at least these days). I for one am happy to say that I was wrong about Dating Naked - I couldn't ask for much more from a mainstream TV network (other than making the non censored versions available as well).
I learned all this during a meeting I had with a creation business over annually ago. Additionally , I learned that while many of them agree that clouding the body parts may be sending a wrong message, they look at it as a starting point. Maybe by introduction more shows with nudity on TV, that are NOT focused on sexuality, we'll manage to see full uncensored TV nudity in the near future.
It is all essentially up to the sponsors, and the patrons go where the audience are. So in essence, it's up to us, the viewers, to dictate what can or can't be shown. So if you want a relationship naked uncensored TV version then its up to you personally to speak up and tune in!

I advocate folks to comment on this particular place as some of the producers may be reading it. I also ask that people use electronic mail, letters and participate on social networks - give props for how much TV nudity has come but also mention the body shame which will be caused due the censorship aspect.

So off came my short pants and

stood up. I will never forget that moment. What I felt
I can only describe as the most magnificent awareness of
freedom I 've ever felt in my whole life! I felt so
fee and alive! It was just wonderful to be nude
outside in the fresh air and sun! It felt fantastic... so
comfortable I then ran into the ocean and swam. It
felt so nice to swim without an suit I loved that

After that I went back to blacks
several more times. I also went to other naturist
beaches; San Onfre, (45 minutes north of blacks), and
More Mesa in Santa Barbra. San Onfre is nice, its
more secluded than blacks with less gawkers. I went
to faculty in Santa Barbra and I found More
Mesa. This is an excellent plage! Verry private and
secluded. I went to UCSB in Santa Barbra and saw
signs for models needed for art class. I signed up
and modeled nude for the art class. It was no big deal
for me and it was pleasure. It was fantastic to see how each
artist painted me in their own way. My mother discovered
the check from the art school and asked me about it
in front of the family. I told her the truth, they
all just laughed and gave me a hard time about it but
Weren't offended or mad or anything so it was cool.
Since that time, I've been to
two nudist resorts in CA. I had a really nice time in
both resorts. The folks there were quite friendly and
made me feel welcome there. It was really relaxing and
fun to spend the day nude swimming, eating, sunning,
meeting new folks etc. Most of the people were older
(30's-60;s) but I enjoyed myself anyway. Its cool
However to see all the young people involved with
nudism in this group.
Now I go nude in my room
almost always. In addition , I go naked at the local nudist
Shore (Haulover). This is my favorite naturist beach.
Its very simple to get to, there are people of all
ages, and they sell beverages and hot dogs on the shore
Plus the water is always warm (87 now) and so is the
weather. I adore going naked whenever possible, its
very comfortable, feels great and life is more pleasure in
the bare!
I want to start of by giving you a little information about
myself. I'm 26 years old and now living in
Aventura, Florida. I've been going bare since I was
17 or so. Besides nudism I also love playing pool,
listening to all kinds of music (except country and
gangsta rap), working with computers, and discussing
about autos. Now I Will get into how I got started as a
Fkk.
I was 17 when I first became
curious about how it felt like to be bare in my
room
When I was 18 a senior in high
school I was on the cross country team. We ran about
a mile or so from a nude beach (Blacks). People joked
about running there, but no one really did.
One day on a run by myself I ran
near there and decide to run to the nude beach. I
made it there and viewed the naked individuals. At this point
I was interested as to what it was like to be nude on
the plage, why these folks did it. I ran to a type
of isolated part of the plage (only a couple of folks
around me and were not that close.) I took off my
shoes, socks, and t shirt. I sat there for 10-20 min.
I subsequently was relaxed and comfy enough to say to
my self I need to get nude and see what it feels
like.

I knew after that, I 'd to find out more. I was scoping areas for a good long time for the forthcoming spring. I knew of the church I went to a long time ago with my buddy and his grandmother. It was way out in the sticks and behind the church, the property ended at a ditch. From that point on there was a field, then a hayfield and beyond that there was nothing but wooded areas for miles. There was only one street light on the highway, and the only other light was the light from the church's shed. I 'd my strategy - In springtime I'd go past the property and attempt being nude outside for my very first time!
Subsequently, as if only for http://crazypublic.com , it happened. We had a really uncommon warm run of weather for 2 weeks in January. The first night, I drove to the church and found that the home near the church had their lights on, even late at night. This put me slightly on edge because I knew they could see me pull in the parking lot. After you past the parking lot and drive on the grass, you can not see pass twenty feet . It is that pitch black except for the moonlight but on that first night, I could not go through with it.
The following night, after work, I determined to drive past and see how I felt. At twelve thirty they merely had their family area light on and I could still see movement but I determined that it was the correct location. I needed some coffee, and so I drove to a convince shop where I had a cup of coffee and listen to the radio for a little while. Then I decided I 'd drive back and see if these individuals were the type that left their lights on all night. It was now close to 2:00 am. The lights were all outside so I determined this would be it.
I visited a nearby Walgreen's (15 minutes away) and purchased a little flashlight. I drove back and waited in the lot. I waited for 30 more minutes. Not one man, auto, and even cat went past. It was simply filled with the sound of the of the leaves of rustling in the wind. I drove my car past church on the grass and all the way to the ditch, where I knew the property finished. I waited another 10 minutes. The neighbors did not hear me at all. I looked around and realized I was "safe". I went behind the car from the road and began my stage one of undressing.
I took off my boxer shorts and T-shirt and only wore my sneakers, pants and hoodie. I decided the less clothes the better. I began walking, jumped over the ditch and walked down till I was about 10 feet in the woods. I looked back and saw the road, but I understood, from my earlier drives past, that if anyone came down the road, they mightn't be able to see me.

I located an area where the tree branches would not get in the way in which and started to undress. First my shoes, then my hoodie and then I paused. Underneath my work trousers I wore nothing. I took a deep breath, slid them off, folded them neatly and placed them on a nearby tree branch. I was totally unclothed outside! I was not frightened, embarrassed or anything. In fact I desired to give a shout of success but decided not to press my luck. I walked away from my clothing, which had my wallet, keys and everything else I wanted in the real world. I would use the flashlight, but the moonlight was enough.
Before I knew it I had to be at least 100 feet into the woods and a great way from my clothes. It was great. Ihiked bare and for a couple of seconds I thought I was being followed by a little creature. But that wasn't true. I felt like the "natives" who first settled the land.
Before I realized, it was an hour later and I understood I had to go back. I used my light to discover my things but oddly enough, I really decided never to put them on. I wanted this new discovered nude and free feeling to last forever and wasn't ready to give url up!
I walked all the way to my car nude and got dressed there. I did it! I spent time nude/ naked outdoors like a realnaturist! I went back the following two nights.
If you are still deciding if to try it or not then I say do it. The freedom of being bare and the feeling of being yourself completely naked outside, notably in nature, is simply astounding!

But I wasn't ready to

give up. That weekend, we arranged for the children to spend the night with some
Buddies. Once they left the house, at 14:00, our strategy was to take off our
Clothing and remain that way until the children returned at 10:00 the next day. Because
we had a longer naked time ahead of us, and even at our most ardent understood we
Couldn't make love for 20 hours, we were able to pace ourselves. We did some
laundry, watched a film, read, and chatted. We went out to dinner wearing very
loose clothing to keep the naked feeling. As soon as we got home, they came off
again. In the morning we cooked breakfast and read the Sunday newspaper.
That weekend experiment
was transforming. Suddenly clothing felt confining and restricting. I desired to
be nude, and I desired to discuss it. Tony and I discussed our encounter, but
we felt like the blind leading the blind. How did others feel? What were their
Encounters?
I detected an Internet
mailing list and signed up. I lurked for a week, then dived in with a question
about sunscreen. An excellent thing happened: I was welcomed to the group like a
special pal. Abruptly I could ask all the questions I needed and people would
Answer, frankly and completely. I began corresponding off-list with a few folks
who shared many of my ideas and questions. My nudist world had expanded from
my bedroom to my house and abruptly to the world. I went from knowing no nudists
to understanding hundreds. It was amazing.
Meanwhile, Tony and I
continued to research our bare time together. We have an outside hot tub and
shower. Instead of jogging to get dressed after emerging from either one, we
would sit on the deck and let the air dry us. (A fence and trees supply
privacy.) We began to eat dinner naked occasionally. I saw the entire NBA
playoffs sans clothing and not in the bedroom. I discovered NIFOC (nude in front
of the computer).
In June we went to Denver.
We made a deal that when we entered the hotel room, the clothes came off. What
to do on our one free day was very important to us. We determined to see
Mountain Air Ranch, a family nudist resort. How important was nudism becoming to
me? I passed up a chance to see the Figure Skating Hall of Fame!
Everything I 'd read was
Accurate: going to Mountain Air I was nervous initially, but that quickly passed. No
one cared what we looked like or who we were, but everyone was friendly. In
minutes we felt relaxed and comfortable. When one fellow talked about "us" as
nudists, I realized yes, I'm in this group. I'm a naturist.
I began to consider nudism
as part of my life. I needed opportunities to be naked with others, and not merely
on a excursion. But how to handle nudism with my
daughter, 7, and son, 10? My first idea
was not to involve them. After Colorado, I realized that wasn't realistic. To
be naked only when they were in bed or at friends' houses would not be practical.
I also understood that many of our actions are family activities. It'd be
a dramatic change to get a baby sitter every time we needed to go to the plage!
Besides, isn't nudism assumed to be a family encounter?
The alternative arrived
naturally. Soon after, we were all in the hot tub together, my husband
and I bare (which has consistently been our custom) but the children in suits. My son was
fussing with a knot on the string of his suit, so I suggested he simply take it
off. He did, and my daughter soon did the same. My son instantly understood how
Great it felt in the warm water without anything on. That led to a discussion of
being nude with others. Then we told them about our visit to Mountain Air. They
were both very interested and suitably curious. We showed them a leaflet,
with pictures, and answered their questions. My son was quite interested in the
Theory of a club, wondering if there were any near us. So we showed him the
Booklet for http://nudism-life.com in New Hampshire, about an hour from where we
are in Maine. Tony and I visited the spot ourselves to check it out, then
returned about two weeks afterwards with our children. After that, my son told me
that he was proud of being a true naturist. My daughter seems oblivious to the title
but appreciates the encounter. I consistently get asked, "When can we go back to the
Skinny dipping place?"

So that is how we went from
a clothed family to nudists. We each choose when and where we wish to be nude. I
often have dinner naked while my husband wears a T shirt or is even completely
clothed. My daughter, a natural, is frequently naked around the house, while my
son is normally bare only in the hot tub.
I 'm still surprised by
how far and how fast I have come. At first I was intrigued with the thought of a
Bare cruise or holiday--a once-a-year special occasion. After going to Mountain
Air, I realized that a little more often to be nude would be nice, but it was
still in the class of diversion. Now I understand I have a need to be bare.

Getting Naked At Zipolite Mexico Unclothed Beach

A little while back, my wife J and I got to spend a while in Zipolite on the Pacific coast of Mexico. Zipolite is among the few beaches in Mexico that takes naturists. The beach is dotted with bars, restaurants, hotels, fishermen, expat North Americans, expat Italians and joyful Mexicans giggling at our dearth of shame.
Days in Zipolite instantly slipped into a meandering rhythm of skinny dipping, drinking and laughing. I spent my mornings running on the strand follow ed by skinny dipping and nude sunbathing. J and I rented a bungalow on the hill dominating the naked Mexiac beach.

We had a hammock, a bed, an outdoor kitchen space instead of much more, not even a door. It was perfect.
I spent my time at the bungalow naked, loving the sea breeze. J generally wore a sarong. There's lots to eat along the sand and in town where we located Mexican and Italian food.
Zipolite Naked Nudist Mexican Beach Resort
Here are some selections from my journal written during our week in Zipolite:
11/13/12
Monday day was spent with J in the hammock. Then we walked the amount of Zipolite. We caught a sunset from the Eastern end where we drank Cornonas and watched silhouetted fishermen finish their day's work perched on the giant boulders that protrude in the surf.
Dinner at a beachside restaurant and then back to the bungalow for some reading. J attempted to watch TV on the notebook but it did not work out. I am not sure I am miserable about that.
Tuesday, today. I woke up at 6:30 and went to the sand for a skinny dip. I'm not certain the naturist matter is going to work out well here. Very few individuals seem to be carrying it out. I've seen maybe less than the usual dozen nudies, all men, and one topless girl. We'll see what the heat of the day brings. Right now I'm happily roasting in the early morning Mexican sunshine.

Two year anniversary. Married to the most wonderful person anyone has ever met.
J took her top off yesterday! I didn't necessarily expect that to happen while we were here. There were boys around the second time she went topfree and she said, I have to get over myself, as she dropped her sarong.

Had yet another excellent breakfast with J yesterday morning. Eggs with salsa and green juice. Then it was off to Puerto Angel for the one local ATM so that we'd have cash. Naturally, the ATM was broken. 15 miles, a trip to San Pedro Pechutla and $200 Pesos later, we had cash.
Our taxi driver kept bugging us to have him drive us to the airport at the conclusion of our excursion. http://x-public.com is a long ways off, we'll see.
(After) I could get used to this. Had a nice, leisurely two mile run and then a skinny dip. I could easily run 21 miles a week and still have so much time for myself. At this point, everything else is icing on the cake for my day. Breakfast, drinking, dinner will all be superb. What else will I do? Read? Swim more? All I need is all around me.

Up before sunlight today. Roosters everywhere. Had yet another amazing day with J yesterday. She continues to go topfree despite gawkers. I think it is second nature at this time, and I presume she'll wear the sarong with no bikini top and that may be that.
Spent the day on the plage. We made plans to check out Shambala, but rather we placed in the hammock. Then it was back to the playa for sunset. We got fairly drunk at a pub run by a Chicagoan named Kevin. So intoxicated that we did not have as much cash as we would have enjoyed for dinner and spent every last cent on a bottle of wine and two plates. We walked back on the beach, me nude and then J collapsed into bed while I pretended to stay up but fell into the hammock. I expected to be hungover today but I appear to be good.
11/16/12
Roosters woke me again this morning. I am adoring waking up with the sun but I wonder if it'd alter if I lived here.
Yesterday, J awoke with a hangover and we took a boat tour. We saw the Indio and the Mono (Indian and Monkey) rock formations. I remember seeing them the last time we were here, for our wedding. Next we saw some porpoises. Afterward we stopped for snorkeling. Next up one other passenger and myself scaled a stone formation and jumped off.
Our guide did a backflip. Afterward J and another passenger determine to jump too. Subsequently the guide did another flip. We stopped for lunch and cervezas. We got a ride back to Zipolite in a very stereotypical camion.
Dinner at La Provencia. We had a bottle of Spanish wine. Appetiser were a bean pate and goat cheese with beets croquette. J had a mezcal cream sauce chicken and I had an eggplant dish with a provencal bean salad.
11/17/12
Had a breakfast of chilaquiles at a location called A Nice Spot on the Sand. We discussed our future: Children, opening a tavern, moving out of the town. We ran into The Norwegians, a couple from your tour on Thursday. We spoke with them for a little while.
Then it was onto the ATM in Porto Angel, which was actually working yesterday. J re-met up with the Norwegians for yoga while I went swimming. We grabbed a snack of tlayudas de nopales on the road. Then we returned to our bungalow with our pals for Havana Club daiqueries. Lots more excellent dialogue. It turns out that Thomas is a chef and understands Eleven Madison Park, among other NYC eateries, so he understood how well-known J is.

Opting for a Skinny Dip at Zipolite Nudist Nude Beach in Mexico
The last complete day in Zipolite was amazing. I did the usual, wake up, run, skinny dip. J went for one hour and a half massage while I lay nude on the sand. The massage left her very content. Dinner was simple pizzas and micheladas on the main street.
Monday morning in Zipolite, we woke up and lay in the hammock for a bit before leaving. It was a amazing excursion.

First full week back in the northeast. I've sweat through my shirt, reek of deodorant and paid $7 for a "affordable" drink.
This is civilized?
If you visit Zipolite, it is necessary to remember that it is not Cancun. There aren't any ATM's in town. The nearest one is several miles away and it was not working on one of the days we went to get cash. While the individuals are completely friendly toward North Americans, it helps if you're able to talk a good amount of Spanish. It is also vital that you note that Zipolite just isn't a private or sanctioned nude beach. Nudity is tolerated by the locals, but not shielded and very few folks strip down and hardly any girls go topfree. Everything comes down to how comfortable you're being nude among people in cloths.
It seems to me that nude is something to be laughed at in Mexico. It's Time for Nudist Clubs to Change Their Policies on Genital Jewelry

T here 's an issue in the naturist world that has long been disturbing us as an organization that bases our principles on recognition. It's the issue of naturist clubs and naturist resorts that bar entry to individuals with body and genital jewelry.

A couple of years ago, we discussed the dilemma of nipple piercings. My home club, Rock Lodge, had a rule against them, but they altered this policy not too long after we printed the article. Now nipple piercings are permitted. We were really happy about that and felt the change was long overdue.
As we pointed out in discussing nipple piercings, even Susan Weaver, who was then president of AANR, had her nipples pierced. Regardless of this, AANR has not taken a position against clubs that would bar entrance based on nipple or body jewelry. Even if your club is a 100% AANR club, they can have a policy that would technically exclude an AANR president from visiting (though to my knowledge, no club ever told Susan that she could not see, even if they had a rule against nipple jewelry).
I'ven't come across any club or resort that still has a policy prohibiting nipple jewelry. (If you know of one please share in the comments.) But the dilemma of body jewelry policies does not quit at nipples. Rock Lodge, along with several other nudist clubs, still has a rule against genital jewelry. This disturbs us, for the exact same motives as the nipple piercings.
Those people who are against genital adornment claim that folks are making nudism sexual by having their genitalia pierced, and that they're doing something wrong by drawing attention to that body part.
Let's explain why this makes no sense. The principal tenet of naturism is the human body can be sexual or not, depending on the context. When people are bare together in a naturist setting, the genitals are no more sexual, "dirty" or black compared to the stomach or elbow.
Humans are sexual beings, not to mention, being naked doesn't keep anyone from believing sexual thoughts about others. Consequently, it becomes quite obvious that your largest sex organ is actually one which you can not see your BRAIN.
As it pertains to the human body and sexuality, it is about context. There's a time and place for everything.
So it'd go that genital jewelry can merely be just as innocent as pierced ears or a pierced belly button. Or on the flip side, earrings are just like sexual as genital jewelry. You'll find undoubtedly people who get sexual pleasure from their piercings, in private, behind closed doors. Unless a person is treating their jewelry like a sex toy in public, there's really no reason why they should not be permitted to join a naturist setting.
As for how it attracts focus to the incorrect area, nicely 1. By saying that, aren't we treating the genitals like some taboo body part in the same manner that society at large does? 2. I can say from experience that unless someone has decorated their crotch like a Christmas tree, nobody appears to have any trouble with staring. You look or you peek at it, just like you'd at a necklace, then you return back to taking a look at the person's face.
These anti-piercing arguments were even more troubling when it came to nipples, which are not sex organs. The primary function of female breasts / nipples will be to feed babies. Some individuals, of all genders, do get sexual pleasure from their nipples in a sexual context. Exactly like some folks get sexual pleasure from their ears, but we do not prohibit piercings on them.
One other argument against piercings has to do with the notion that they're improper in family settings where kids can be found. But the problem here always falls on the shoulders of those parents who are frequently frightened to deal with their kids' innocent questions. (As a side rant to parents, please don't lie to your children or refuse them information about their bodies. There's such a matter as age-appropriate answers. We've got the Internet now. If you're not sure the way to answer a question, Google it or e-mail someone who might have the information you seek.)
If your kid points at a penis ring and says, What Is that? The answer is simple: It Is a piercing." If the followup question is, "Why does he have it?" then the reply should be something like, "because he believes it is pretty.
The problem of genital jewelry also came up in the circumstance of San Francisco's nudity ban. Some of the male nudists were wearing cock rings in public. As we noted in this article, a cock ring is normally worn on the base of the penis and can be used for keeping erections, but can also merely be worn for ornamentation. In that same article we also ran a survey on whether cock rings were too sexual to be worn in public, even if just worn as decoration.

Some clubs have altered their policies from necessity, as more visitors or members have showed up with body jewelry. Others, however, are holding onto their policies that look increasingly dated for 2015.
I mightn't contend that a body piercing is vital to a person's identity or an aspect of themselves that they can not change - like race or sexual orientation. Piercings are removable to some extent but they're a sort of self-expression. We see this problem as a dent in the naturist doctrine. At least as far as accepting an individual as they are, as well as comprehending that nudity does not have to be sexual.
In the northeast, I Have located only 2* nudist clubs that still prohibit genital jewelry: Berkshire Vista (MA) and Rock Lodge Club (NJ). (I've also found that many nudist clubs in the U.S. do not address piercings on their websites at all. I haven't inquired with every club, but the ones I did contact said they were allowed.)
For clubs that do let jewelry, many specify that it must be distinct or inconspicuous. I think that is reasonable. Nobody must walk around with huge chains and bells on their genitalia.

Solair Nudist Resort in Connecticut is one co operative club in the northeast that recently changed their rules to permit genital jewelry. We have been speaking to them about this policy for a number of years, and as a co-op it took time to get enough votes to support it. It was changed this past June and we applaud Solair for becoming a more inclusive, accepting club!
Not everyone was on board with their new policy, however. On a recent excursion to Solair, we met one member who said he believed it went against family values. Regrettably he was not able to articulate how precisely.
In 2015, I believe the nudist community is ready to be inclusive when it comes to body jewelry. It is time to better practice what we preach.
(*In fact there are 3 clubs that bar entry to individuals with genital jewelry if we count Cedar Waters Village in New Hampshire. Cedar Waters is an exclusive resort for heterosexual couples SIMPLY who don't desire to hang out with gay people. They don't allow nipple or genital piercings or same sex couples. You read that rightthey openly discriminate against gay people. In 2015.)

Free the Nipple & Why we are discussing nipples when there are way bigger issues in society

In the springtime 2015 issue of Bitch magazine (a feminist publication), there's a overview of the Free the Nipple film. Like many other reviews of this movie, it questioned some implausible plot points and bad writing.
But that is not all. The author of the article, A.A.I., starts off by ignoring Free the Nipple as a cause worthy of our focus.
She wrote that while she found it entirely foolish that women can not go topfree wherever men can,

it's unfortunate that Lina Esco's directorial debut, Free the Nipple, which tries to champion the power of grassroots activism, has to focus on an issue that is of so little effect in comparison with the violence, poverty and injustice that many face on asses in public sex on the beach .
Yeah, why are we talking about nipples when there is homelessness and police violence and starving kids in 3rd world countriesright?
This line of thinking is so common it's a name the Fallacy of Relative Privation. It's the argument that since problem A is more significant than dilemma B, we should so forget about B completely and focus on A instead.
It's called a fallacy because the argument lacks cogency. It is a thoughtless manner of attempting to shut down a discussion about a certain subject or issue.
Individuals, including feminists, try and use this argument constantly as it pertains to topfree equality. I've been a subscriber to Bitch for some time now and while I still believe they do great work, I was surprised and disappointed to see this obtuse way of thinking coming from a well-respected feminist publication.
So let us talk about what's wrong with the fallacy and why topfree equality and Free the Nipple do matter.
You could use the fallacy argument to any type of societal issue (feminist or other).
Anyone could argue that sexist dress codes in schools are not as significant of an issue as domestic violence against http://macdollars.net . Or that women's representation in the media is just not as significant as stopping female genital mutilation.
But herein lie the false premises that there's some objectively driven hierarchy of feminist dilemmas. And that to bring about change, we must address particular problems in a chronological order one by one and only when one problem was repaired can we move to the following.

It means deconstructing traditional patriarchal gender roles that say women must be modest and chaste. Topfree equality means challenging the notion a woman's state of dress or undress establishes her approval, sexuality or even her worth as a person.
The Free the Nipple movie may have done a less than stellar job of conveying these thoughts, but that isn't any reason to disregard its entire effort or message.
Anyone who believes in equality ought to know that there surely is value in fighting inequality on every level. One can make a difference in fighting for whatever cause(s) they're enthusiastic about. There's plenty of room for everyone, particularly at the gender equality table.

First time Naked in a Social Setting

The very first time I was naked in a social setting was at a naked beach in South America. After I first arrived at the plage I was petrified and I didn't feel comfortable at all. I could not believe that folks would only go bare without a care in the world.

I ended up staying at the sand all night. Largely because I simply felt so very comfortable. By the end of the day my perspectives changed. I started believing that being naked at the strand was a simple and natural thing.
To be honest, I thought I would feel disgusted or shocked. I think I just disliked the idea of going bare on a playa. Now, however, after my expertise, I think it truly is utterly natural.

How I Saw Naked Girls and Bare Boys For The First Time

Seeing Nude Women For The First Time
Nude Women and boys - Being a real girl and growing up in a house of four other women, nudity was never a big deal if you ask me. If it weren't me who was nude and checking out my body in the mirror, it was my sister's nude butt I had to see bounce from the room we shared to the bathroom next door. Nonetheless, this nakedness was all within the safety of our home, the security of our walls and seclusion of a family. I never pictured that nudity outside of these safe spots would feel any different.
For my first social bare experience, I was fifteen years old. My pals and I were all invited by one of our other buddies to a cottage up north. It was in the beginning of July, and the days were hotter than ever. We spent hours upon hours out on the lake and if not there then appreciating iced drinks on the pier. Remaining cool was the top priority.
The first night some of the lads brought up going skinny dipping. However, the notion got shut down since most of the ladies were not considering becoming naked. The second night, nevertheless, was a different story. The majority of the women were burnt to a crisp and suffering from hot flashes. By the end of the day, I was impressed with the other ladies' bodies but I was still fairly uncomfortable with the nude boys'. I assume the reason I didn't see the nuances of the lads' nakedness was because after the first few seconds of seeing the boys naked, I chose to look away as much as I could.
For months after, I felt as though I had done something really wrong. I felt like I was supposed to look away even more. I suppose I wasn't prepared for naturism yet, at least not at that phase of my life.

If we look at how censorship is being implemented, we'll eventually discover what the driving force is that will decide if something is decent or indecent. Consequently, words like nude, nudism and nudists are used by webmasters to sell and market hard-core pornography. If you do a web search using these words, you will quickly run into a slew of XXX rated websites. Many pornographic websites, while not about nudism, will still most likely be on the first or second page of search results. Webmasters have been using the terms to bring potential interested parties and as such, have played a important part in tarnishing the reputation and significance of what nudism is.
The web continues to be like the wild west when it comes to quality control. Much of the censorship that happens is unusual and arbitrary in nature. This inconsistency in implementing the censorship guidelines can drive many people and organizations crazy!
Let us take a look at Facebook. The manner that Facebook censors nudity for http://videonudism.com/nude is peculiar to say the least. Images of mothers breastfeeding their babies are not allowed if nipples are showing (even partially). Male nipples are regarded as okay, but a female nipple are cause for alarm. The dividing line between what exactly is considered acceptable and what is pornographic isn't clear. Oddly enough, gore and violence are perceived as acceptable and benign.
Youtube is another amazing example. While Youtube maintains to let artistic nudity, they normally will censor or delist videos of nude body painting and performance art that depicts nudity. Twitter is a fantastic example of how people think now. People only want the talking points, views, suggestions and ideas without any of those pesky extra words.
Merely the gist of people's opinions in 140 characters or less is all that people really desire, and if it might be limited down to some straightforward yes or no then that would be perfect. This describes the fascination with texting as well.
People feel as though they do not have time nor the energy to spend discussing issues or coordinating their daily lives, so texting and twitter are perfect.

Nudism On-Line and How Are Nudists Conveying Over The Internet
On the planet of naturism today I keep feeling as though the general public is a Twitter lover, while the nudism sector all together is still writing letters. My personal view is that I wish people would make an effort before commenting or saying something online, but in our tech savvy world it might be asking too much of folks.
From day one, FKK has been reaching out to the influential members of the naturist movement. Part of the issue that we face is that on the one hand, naturism as a movement is run by individuals who never have yet made the jump that so many others have. And on another side of the spectrum you've young naturists that simply do not take the time to think of the repercussions of what they are saying.
The chief groups that encourage nudism were stuck in a time warp and have already been slow to adapt. It appears to be the lack of urgency on their parts is among the core issues folks have with them. The news cycle is a minute by minute thing nowadays. People are signed up and always receive alerts about issues they hold dear for their hearts, but the dearth of continuous stimulation seems to cause a ton of frustration.
Young Nudists and Communication Problems
The young naturists out there that have already been spreading negative energies are a problem also. They feel that since they understand the best way to entice individuals using the tools of now, they are masters of the domain name.
The possible lack of proper online presence has created a vacuum which gives them an expression of omnipotence they could never have gotten with so little work, time, money or energy. It truly is like they won the lottery and now believe they possess the power, knowledge and skills to preach to others who might be more educated than they're.
So in closing I would like to leave you with this thought. In today's world, the human mind is in urgent need of continuous stimulation. It is as if our brains are on crack and the info and alarms are our quick fix. What exactly can nudists and / or the nudist movement do to correct its current course?
Is nudism truly going to die out because they can't accommodate fast enough? Could it be time to restructure the entire naturist movement and if so, could it be even possible? Or will there just be a fresh organization that will need to replace the old to be able to usher in the new age of nudists? Perhaps time will tell, but hopefully we will not have to wait overly long.

of Ishtar's descent into the Underworld, she is increasingly stripped of her jewels and ornaments as she
enters each of the seven gates. At the last, the gatekeeper removes her "breechcloth," and the goddess of


fertility seems fully nude, deprived of her divinity and dignity.'" Even she can be stripped and
shamed. (The Akkadian phrase for the loincloth is
"robe of shame," sometimes euphemistically rendered
as "robe of grandeur.")19 There was obviously all the
difference in the world, to historical eyes, between a gloriously, divinely naked figure wearing jewelry, a
crown, a loincloth, even a belt, and one not wearing
anything. Being "stark naked" meant poverty, as well
as shame.

The Story Of The Semi Naked Faculty Party That Helped In Accepting My Nude Body:
Taking My Nude Body - I 've always been self conscious about my body. I was never able to walk around comfortably at school for fear of being made fun of. My body was something to be hidden, black and god forbid - shown in public.
During high school, I began working on improving my self esteem. I worked on my positive affirmations and I told myself everyday that I was amazing, even if I didn't believe it. As the days turned into weeks, I began to find that looking at my naked body in the mirror was becoming easier. I began to feel increasingly more comfortable being nude (by myself). Having said that, thinking of someone else seeing my nude body was still not an option. All this changed once I got to school.
Accepting My Naked Body
When I started school, I felt overwhelmed by the number of people I considered wonderful. It seemed like everyone was lean, confident and appealing. How was I going to live here???
I spoke with some close friends about the dilemma. My friends asked me what I thought of folks who didn't do their make up every morning or who weren't thin enough to be a model. I told them I didn't think any differently of them and that they were just people in my experience. My friends asked me why I thought that people would think otherwise of me. I didn't have an answer.
Subsequently it came to me Most folks usually do not care what you look like. And if they do, who cares! If they didn't like my appearance, they didn't have to appear. After that, my confidence increased. It was a slow process, but it was working.
I had never been comfortable attending celebrations at my university. So many of them were pajama parties, underwear parties and perhaps even naked parties. If I was just starting to feel comfortable looking at my naked body, how was I going to reveal it to anyone else?
Afterward came the day once I was invited to some college Halloween bash. The flyer said "less is more if you know what I am talking about." My buddies had helped me so much in raising my self-esteem which I thought, "why not!" That night, I had my first experience with social nudity. I wore some risque lingerie as my Halloween costume. Practically everything was revealing! I was afraid people were going to look at me like some kind of freak. http://xnudists.com was scared they were going to laugh and tell me to go home. But they didn't. Almost everyone else was dressed like I was. Some were even completely nude and a few were covered in only body paint. They were all just having a great time - partying and laughing. It was a great evening. I left the party feeling more assured than ever. My nude body, or at least most of it, was seen by strangers, yet no one laughed or ran away in terror.
I do not know if I 'll ever rid myself of my body image problems. Nor am I sure that I will ever manage to take a look at my naked body with complete recognition. What I do understand is that my first experience with public nudity was a interesting one. One that helped me in my ongoing procedure for raising my self-esteem and self acceptance (if young nudist sex pics ).

Do we Desire Naturist Naturist Labels? Or Can We Only Hang out Naked?

Can We merely Hang out in the Nude?

Hang out Naked: Growing up, I never once called myself a naturist It was consistently nudist. I began using this label once http://x-pot.com started FKK, and I Had actually really like it if this turned into the mainstream term for what we love.
As FKK, we consider these terms (normally) interchangeable, but some have their own notion about what each one means or what type of connotation they've. I've heard some say that naturists are more politically active in naturism / naturism beyond just frequenting naturist areas. I've also discovered that in England they use the term 'naturist' to describe someone who takes it more seriously as a lifestyle and goes unclothed daily, constantly.
Some say the word 'nudist' has negative connotations from the past, and today it should be "naturist"! It's not uncommon for the media to misuse the term, correlating it with indecent exposure or improper sexual behavior. It's also not hard to see that "nudists" are frequently made fun of in the media and frequently used to make jokes! I've seen this most with the phrase "nudist colony," which has consistently been used for jokes and undoubtedly has a connotation of being dorky, difficult, and unpopular.
Many people have proposed that we do away with these labels thoroughly because we have moved beyond them, and the words have lost their legitimacy.

Maybe one day we'll reach a stage where we become the "ordinary" ones, and everyone else must call themselves "textilists"! But anyhow, that is after we take over the world. ;)

All this craze grew out of nothing more than ignorance, outright bias and unwarranted feelings about nudism and naturism, and was a waste of time and public resources. There was certainly no signs that any harm had been done to any kid. If nudism photos , teenagers attending textile camps were discovered to be having sexual meetings, with others incurring physical harm from sports and other activities. Children attending naturist camps were happy, healthy and safe.

Bob Morton of the Naturist Action Committee wrote in the March 2004 Nude and Natural Newsletter that in "the instance of the Virginia legislation, losing means a significant abridgement of the parental rights of naturists and the unmistakable message that social nudity is somehow unhealthy or unsafe for children."
Bill Williamson wrote in the AANR Bulletin of May 2004 that "this Virginia initiative just further proves that we have a lot more work to do before we can enjoy the peace and tranquility of our peaceful surroundings without the steady overshadowing danger of unnecessary government intervention."
In the May 2005 AANR Bulletin, Williamson wrote, Obviously these are not remote political attacks on bare diversion, but a joint strategically planned effort to separate the family from social family nudism. These social conservatives believe that if they are able to keep our children from sharing our wholesome contribution in social family naturism, they are able to then designate unclothed diversion as simply another part of the adult entertainment industry as opposed to the most rapidly growing sector of the travel and resort business.
Nudist and naturist organizations continue to work with policymakers to advocate for bare recreation for all ages.
In 2006, Mark Foley left Congress in shame over his "sex-laced" emails and instant messages to teens functioning as pages. The hypocrisy of his campaign against youth camps angered nudists and naturists everywhere, still fighting to restore reputations, mend family differences, and recover from loss of business. There was little vindication in Foley's fall, merely bitter memories.
However, Morley Schloss is optimistic about the future of naturist youth camps. I do not find a catastrophe, he said, Naturist camps that have had troubles have instructed the children that they must be cautious and distrustful, that naturist resorts are unsafe. Let us be proactive. In words and photos, we must depict children and their families having fun at naturist resorts and naturist youth camps.
Stephane Deschenes of Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park concurs. We certainly must not stop trying on this point.
